Learning Designer
About Eedi
Eedi is a UK-based applied research organisation on a mission to improve learning outcomes for a billion students by 2030. Over the last decade, we have developed a deep understanding of how students learn, diagnosing knowledge gaps and the precise support they need to excel.
Our diagnostic engine, built in partnership with leading global foundations and publishers, is grounded in a decade of classroom data. The world's only education-focused AI infrastructure validated by gold-standard science, Eedi makes personalised and adaptive learning accessible to all students, not just those with the means to afford it.
Why we need you
You will use your teaching expertise to help us create high-quality maths materials and design learning journeys that work for students all over the world. Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll help us understand exactly where students get stuck and how we can best support their progress.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
Eedi is an innovation-led company, which means you will have the opportunity to work across many different areas of learning design and pedagogy. While your specific projects will evolve alongside our research and new product ideas, your core focus will involve:
Content Creation: Designing high-quality diagnostic questions and learning materials tailored to diverse international frameworks, ensuring our content remains educationally robust for students everywhere.
Curriculum Alignment: Mapping our internal maths constructs and questions to various international curricula and exam specifications, ensuring our content is accurately categorised for different global standards.
Research & Misconception Analysis: Working alongside our research and data science teams to identify and categorise student misconceptions, turning these complex patterns into actionable learning improvements.
Pedagogical Innovation: Contributing your classroom expertise to experiments within Eedi Labs, helping to test and shape next-generation products, like our new AI Tutor.
Community & Direct Tutoring: Supporting our community of teachers and providing direct, chat-based tutoring to students, using these real-time interactions to inform and refine your pedagogical designs.
You might be a good fit if you
Have 5+ Years Teaching Experience: A qualified teacher with QTS (essential) and a deep understanding of the secondary maths curriculum.
Have strong Maths Subject Mastery: Expert knowledge (A-Level or Degree level preferred) with the ability to create engaging materials for ages 5–16.
Are organised & Productive: You can effectively manage your own workload across various projects, prioritising your tasks to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Are collaborative & Open: Able to work effectively within a team and provide/receive high-quality, constructive feedback.
Have an innovation Mindset: Genuinely excited by AI’s potential to transform education and eager to experiment with new technology.
Regarding safeguarding: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Applicants must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo a check prior to appointment.
Strong candidates may also have

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will I work?
Eedi is fully remote. From Brighton to Glasgow. We still meet up often though.
What happens at the company off-sites?
They’re a mix of company stuff and fun stuff. Often a morning of presentations, talks/unconference and an evening of food, drink and an activity. Think Crystal Maze, or AR darts, or a hike, or a live Murder Mystery. Even for “corporate-mandatory-fun” it’s actually good fun! They’re often in London but we’ve had off-sites in Brighton, Manchester, The Chilterns… Matlock…and a Summer unconference in Portugal.
Job applications take up so much time! Do you mind if I use AI to speed things up?
At Eedi, we love and embrace AI. However, we only hire humans. We want to get to know you and not the GPT version of you, so please… do not use AI during your initial application.
4 day work weeks, did I read that right?!
Yes! You can optionally choose to compress your full time hours into 4 days and take an extra day off a week once you have passed your probation period. We have Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as core days where everyone works.
When can I start?!
Now.
Just one more thing...
There's one more, very important thing. At Eedi, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We believe that bringing together individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives leads to more innovative solutions and better outcomes for our students. We're proud of the progress we've made in increasing representation across our organisation, and we're always working to do better. We are an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
We don't expect you to be an expert in everything listed above. We're looking for candidates who excel in some areas and have a strong foundation or interest in others. If you meet many of these qualifications but not all, we still encourage you to apply!
We can't wait to hear from you! Let's change the future of learning together!
