About Eedi
Eedi is a UK-based applied research organisation on a mission to improve learning outcomes for a billion students by 2030. Over the last decade, we have developed a deep understanding of how students learn, diagnosing knowledge gaps and the precise support they need to excel.
Our diagnostic engine, built in partnership with leading global foundations and publishers, is grounded in a decade of classroom data. The world's only education-focused AI infrastructure validated by gold-standard science, Eedi makes personalised and adaptive learning accessible to all students, not just those with the means to afford it.
Why we need you
As we scale, our need for clear, reliable, and rapid data storytelling has never been greater. We need a curious and technically-minded Junior Data Analyst to bridge the gap between our raw data warehouse and the strategic decisions made by our Product and Evidence teams.
You will be the "go-to" person for understanding user behaviour - from investigating how students interact with our AI tutors to visualising the success of our latest product features. Your work will help us maintain high standards of data integrity and transparency across the organisation.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
First Month:
Get up to speed with our data schema in Azure and learn how to navigate our Mixpanel and SQL environments.
Take over routine data extraction requests and begin supporting the Evidence team with descriptive statistics for regular experiments.
Shadow the Data Science team lead to understand our current data extraction and reporting processes.
First Six Months:
Perform exploratory analysis on internal data to investigate student behaviours (like cheating patterns or demographic differences) for in-product experiments.
Co-design and maintain automated dashboards (e.g. in Power BI or Tableau) to track key product experiments and engagement metrics.
Service data requests from different teams across Eedi, prioritised by the Data Science team lead.
Assist the Evidence team in calculating effect sizes and statistical significance for pedagogical interventions.
First Year:
Take ownership of regular data quality audits, ensuring our internal tracking matches our warehouse reality.
Act as a key contributor to our internal data culture, helping non-technical team members interpret experiment results and survey findings.
Develop a deep understanding of Eedi’s "Knowledge Graph," helping to validate that our models are measuring what they intend to measure.
You might be a good fit if you have
Strong proficiency in SQL: You can comfortably join multiple tables, use window functions, and extract clean datasets from complex warehouses.
Python for Data Analysis: You are familiar with pandas and numpy for data wrangling and exploratory analysis.
Visualisation Expert: You have hands-on experience building clear, insightful dashboards in Power BI (preferred) or Tableau.
Quantitative Mindset: You don't just report numbers; you ask "why" and look for biases or anomalies in the data.
Statistical Foundation: You understand the basics of descriptive statistics and are eager to learn more about experimental design and inference.
Communication: You can take a complex data finding and summarise it in a way that is easy for a Product Manager or Teacher to understand.
Strong candidates may also have
R / Tidyverse: While Python is our primary language, familiarity with R is a plus for deep statistical modelling. If you don't know it, we’ll help you learn it - perfect for someone looking to grow into an Evidence or Research Scientist role.
EdTech Interest: You have a passion for education and improving learning outcomes.
Product Analytics: You have experience with tools like Mixpanel, PostHog, or Amplitude.
Large Datasets: You’ve worked with messy, real-world data at scale.
What it means to work at Eedi:
You’ll get to work on meaningful things that have an impact on the lives of teachers and children.
You’re not siloed into a team dedicated to improving the efficiency of one tiny slice of a business, you get to work on everything and get stuck into lots of things.
You will get to work at the intersection of education and cutting-edge AI research.
The team is still small enough that you’ll always get a say. You’ll get to know everyone in the company.
Everyone who works here is pretty smart + friendly + ambitious... which I think is quite a rare combination!

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will I work?
Eedi is fully remote. From Brighton to Glasgow. We still meet up often though.
What happens at the company off-sites?
They’re a mix of company stuff and fun stuff. Often a morning of presentations, talks/unconference and an evening of food, drink and an activity. Think Crystal Maze, or AR darts, or a hike, or a live Murder Mystery. Even for “corporate-mandatory-fun” it’s actually good fun! They’re often in London but we’ve had off-sites in Brighton, Manchester, The Chilterns… Matlock…and a Summer unconference in Portugal.
Job applications take up so much time! Do you mind if I use AI to speed things up?
At Eedi, we love and embrace AI. However, we only hire humans. We want to get to know you and not the GPT version of you, so please… do not use AI during your initial application.
4 day work weeks, did I read that right?!
Yes! You can optionally choose to compress your full time hours into 4 days and take an extra day off a week once you have passed your probation period. We have Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as core days where everyone works.
When can I start?!
Now.
Just one more thing...
There's one more, very important thing. At Eedi, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We believe that bringing together individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives leads to more innovative solutions and better outcomes for our students. We're proud of the progress we've made in increasing representation across our organisation, and we're always working to do better. We are an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
We don't expect you to be an expert in everything listed above. We're looking for candidates who excel in some areas and have a strong foundation or interest in others. If you meet many of these qualifications but not all, we still encourage you to apply!
We can't wait to hear from you! Let's change the future of learning together!
